This was suggested to me to help with a breakout. It didn't really work for that, (tho heed w the redness) but I have noticed that a few little bumps have gone away on another area... So for some minor acne concerns, this works great (which of course is what it is marketed for as the intended purpose).

Slightly drying at first but once my skin got used to it and I added another moisturizer with this product and only applied it to where I normally break out as opposed to all over my face, this product really prevented my skin from breaking out and shortened current flare ups. Also my skin is quite sensitive so you don't need a lot o this product whatsoever.

This product is a must have. I started seeing a difference in the appearance of my acne after only a few days of use. Now after several weeks my acne is practically gone. I am able to use this product in the morning and when I go to bed without it drying out my skin.

My Favorite BP Treatment

Fragrance-free, matte finish. Unlike other benzoyl peroxides, this one doesn't seem to dry my skin out too much or bleach my pillowcases and towels. When I first applied it, I wasn't sure whether it was being absorbed into my skin enough, but it works just great under makeup and SPF lotions. As for any BP treatment, for sensitive skin, it will be slightly irritating at first, but this is the least irritating one I've ever tried, and it ceased to be irritating after the first few days. Now I use it for maintenance, and it definitely keeps blemishes from cropping up.

I like this acne treatment because it doesn't dry my skin out too much. I have very oily skin, so when medications over-dry my skin, my face produces even more oil which results in more acne. This doesn't do that! I have tried a multitude of over-the-counter products and prescription creams and medications, and nothing has cleared up my skin for good. This is no miracle lotion, I still don't have perfect skin, but this works the best out of anything I have tried. I have clogged pores as well as cystic acne, and this helps with both. I notice a difference in my skin if I don't use it for a couple of days which is why I will keep buying it and using it every day! I have had acne for over 15 years, and this is one of the few products that actually gives results.

I don't have a lot of acne but, when I get a pimple, I want it gone ... now. If I use this at night, the pimple is almost always gone the next day. I have my 20-year-old son using it too. It's a product that I always have to have a back-up supply of so I never run out. It lasts a long time, so any concern about price should keep that in mind. Everyone should try this product.

Having suffered with severe cystic acne for over a decade now, I have tried almost every topical lotion (prescription and beauty/drugstore brands) on the market. The prescription creams were too harsh, often leaving my skin with rashes or burns and the drugstore brands weren't strong enough to be effective. This product is FANTASTIC!!! For the first week I used it twice a day but found that my skin became too dry so now I use it once daily and night and mix it with the Oil-Free Moisturizer and my skin has never been more clear.

I've been using this lotion only in the mornings to keep my skin bacteria free throughout the day. I find it gentle but effective without a chemical smell or harsh feeling for my skin. I found that using it twice a day caused too much drying but two pumps once daily has kept my troubled skin clear and even looking. I love the antibacterial lotion.

I was using a drugstore regimen that got rid of my pimples, but dried out my skin and made more shortly afterwards. This was my first Kate Suomerville purchase and its converted me. The active ingredient is effective but not too harsh. I use it once a day to prevent dryness and it prevents breakouts really well. You do need a good mousturizer to go with it, though.

I have been using this product for a few months now and I love it. I had been having monthly breakouts and when I changed any product. But since using this treatment I have had very few or quick healing acne. I am trying many more products to help with my Melasma, I am hoping they will be just as effective.

I once suffered from continuous breakouts on my chin in the same spot. I use this product daily along with my Kate regimen and have not gotten a breakout there since! However, I often use this product to treat breakouts that are emerging or full on. This product definitely helps prevent/reduce the breakout. Great product!

I have hormonal acne on my chin and jawline and Kate Somerville's Anti Bac Clearing lotion has really kept it in check lately. I apply a pea-sized amount on in the evening and the morning underneath the Kate Somerville Oil Free Moisturizer. I would recommend this to people who also have sensitive skin. It did not make my skin burn or itch afterwards. It is fragrance free and I really do love this stuff.

This product in combination with Exfolikate and Resurfacing Peel Pads have truly transformed my skin. I am in early 30's with combo skin. I suffer from hormonal breakouts and also clogged pores that turn into inflammation and scarring on my chin and jawline. I've always had good skin and I was beyond frustrated that I could no longer leave the house without some major cover up. I've tried just about everything I've set my eyes on with very little success. I was on the verge of seeking professional help before discovering Kate Somerville. I was at first intrigued by the Peel Pads and later got Exfolikate after discovering that it's almost a cult product. I've had good results using them with Murad products but they did not entirely rid off those stubborn clogged pores that persistently show up on my chin. I had high hopes when I decided to add this product to my skin regimen after reading good reviews. I am not exaggerating that this product cleared those pesky pores after just one application. On day two, I already felt like I had my old skin back. Now I am on day five, my skin is still blemish free and the scars are beginning to fade. For the first time in three years, I would not hesitate to leave the house makeup free. I am so relieved that I have finally found a product that treats my skin concerns. I will also be adding the toner, Detox cleanser, and Acne Clearing Treatment to my skin regimen. Kate Somerville is by far the most effective products I have yet to try and I urge anyone who suffers the same skin condition to do the same!

This is my new found holy grail product! My major concerns are hormonal breakouts and clogged pores primarily on my chin and jawline. I saw results in as little as 24 hours after using this product. I find that this product is good at preventing breakouts and clearing blackheads, but it does dry out my skin a bit so I don't use it every day. It clears up my smaller pimples, but it doesn't work on my painful zits. It just dries out the surface.

I've found this to be effective in treating my acne. I use this with the Oil Free moisturizer b/c it can be a bit drying - mix 1 to 2 pumps of the AntiBac with 1 pump of the moisturizer. Because it has some Benzoyl Peroxide I have noticed that it's discolored some pillows and clothing so beware (true for anything with that ingredient).

If you have dry skin, have even the slightest sensitivity then this product will be an absolute mistake! After one use this dried my skin so badly and I had this what felt like a burn all over my face for days. I instantly broke out all over and since my main concern is Acne you can see why I was very upset! If you suffer from acne you can treat it just fine without this product. The products in the Blemish Banisher kit really are all that you need.
I used the Quench Oil Free Hydrating Face Serum to help recover fromthe painful dryness. I got a sample with an order I placed and decided it was time to try it. It saved me!Natalie also recommends...

I recently purchased the acne kit and am wondering why this product wouldn't be included? I thought it was missing some type of night treatment, and this appears to be it. I first purchased this as a part of the 911 kit, which cleared my acne when nothing else would-prescription meds that means you as well! I use in the evening under Cytocell and now only have the occasional "time of month" blemish and my skin is never oily. It is not drying to my skin and works better than anything I have tried, and I have tried most everything. You won't be let down by this miracle worker.

Out of all of the Kate products I have used, this is my least favorite. I have found I must mix it with another product (Clinique Acne Solutions Moisturizer) to keep things clear. Both of these products are less than great alone, but together work wonderful!! However, I gave the product three stars because if you ONLY need to clear blackheads, this is the product that will do so.

I've only had this product for 5 days and my face is clearer than it's ever been. I've struggled with adult acne since having my first child and have tried numerous products to clear it. Nothing has worked, until now! I bought this product and started using it twice daily and I only have two small blemishes left, but even they are almost gone. my face is clear and I couldn't be happier. I've used every acne line/products from Perricone, Fresh, ProActiv, Murad, Epicurean, Origins and more...and Anti Bac Clearing Lotion is the only product that does not over dry my skin while seriously reducing oil and preventing breakouts. I noticed an immediate difference in oil reduction and overtime i've experienced fewer and fewer breakouts. I use the whole acne line and switch off between regular ExfoliKate and the acne one. This product is an essential part of my product lineup, and when i forget to apply it for a couple of days, i can tell - my face starts to flare up again and gets more oily by midday. I highly recommend this lotion to anyone looking to combat oil and acne.
