    • Love this sun screen moisturizer! I use it daily; haven't found any other product that compares. Well worth the price.

    • Living in So Cal, sunscreen is a must. I never leave the house (in the day) without this! and it is not too much to put on my other moisturizer.

    • I'm always buying physical sunscreen for my family. I used to use Chanel spf cause it was light weight, easy to apply, non greasy, but after I found this kate somervillie sunscreen in Nordstrom, I decided to use this one. It is 60ml, twice as many other high end brand product, and the price is reasonable. The most important, it is very easy to be absorbed, no white mask look, not oily, non greasy. Five star product!

    • This sunscreen is really light, easy to apply, non-greasy and works. The only downfall is it seems to cling on to my stubble and gives me a bit of a grey look where i have facial hair. I really wanted to give this 5 stars but am not sure it's perfect for me. It is a really good sunscreen though so it's a shame it doesn't like my stubble!

    • I purchased this on a whim as the oil-free moisturizer doen't have sunscreen and I wanted to use SPF every day. Although my Jane Iredale mineral makeup does have some protection, I am so prone to hyper-pigmentation and staining from breakouts that I need to be super careful in the sun. This product is so light but works wonders. For now, in summer, it's my day time moisturizer as well. It is watery - as the name suggests - so be careful when applying. A little goes a long way and it seems it will last for months. It feels amazing going on, very luxurious! I love that it looks great under makeup and though it might be a little white and shiny at first, it melds with your skin within minutes. Very impressed with this product.

    • Amazing product. But, believe it when it says it's like water. I've never seen a sunscreen so thin! Goes on beautifully under makeup and does not have that "sticky" feel that most sunscreens have. Definitely a winner!

    • I was a little worried when I bought this, only because I have sensitive skin and I never know what will cause it to react and break out. I was incredibly happy when this not only didn't cause a reaction, it also doesn't have that typical overpowering sunblock smell we associate with sunscreens. Its lightly fragrant which usually I stay away from since my skin views fragrance as a no-no, but thankfully my skin has been very tolerant of this sunscreen which is great! It blends fairly easily, just a little massaging into the skin, no greasy residue left. I usually only wear it when I don't plan on wearing makeup as I use a BB cream/primer that has SPF 30 in it already, so I can't attest to any anti-aging benefits as I do not use it daily.

    • I recently tried this product & absolutely love it! So light, but excellent sun protection! Thank you, Kate Somerville!!

    • This sunscreen is very very light and watery, and with good sun protection. However, the color is too white and even a little bit blue. So must wear it with makeup.

    • I am so relieved that Kate finally put out a chemical free sunscreen and with anti-aging benefits! It's super light weight like water, didn't cause any breakouts and feels like your not wearing a sunscreen! Highly recommend this for year year use. I after this on after my serum and moisturizer and before by foundation!

    • It's a little heavy because of the spf

    • I bought this because I liked that it was a mineral-based sunscreen and I have been using it daily under my make-up since receiving it. Although it is not a moisturizer, I've been able to use it in place of one in my morning skin care routine. At first, I was surprised by it's thin, watery texture but it's not too sticky once applied like other sunscreens. It took a few days to get the hang of application...a little really goes a long way. If I applied too much, it definitely left a white residue that was prone to becoming flaky as I applied my makeup; however, just the right amount will absorb perfectly. When first applied, it will give your skin a slightly cool blue cast--I have a lot of redness from acne so I my skin looks kind of purple actually, but it is minimized once it absorbs and my makeup seems to do fine evening things out (I use a yellow-undertone foundation).

    • I didnt have any issues with this product and my sensitive skin however it seemed to give my already pale skin a white-ish hue. I like the consistency and the way it made my skin feel just not the shade it seemed to leave on my skin.

    • This is a Must have for summer!!!
When spring comes around, I apply this under my BB cream everytime I go outside.
This helps alot from breaking out and my skin looking wrinkly.
Unlike other sunscreen, it actually is really light and easy to wash it off.

    • This sunscreen is gentle yet effective. I like to use this product on my face, neck, chest, and hands. It goes on easily, absorbs quickly, and little goes a long way. This is great for a day in the sun or out on the water!

    • For such a strong SPF it's suprisingly light and goes on very easily. And it smells good which is a plus! A little goes a long way as well which is always good on the wallet.

    • I tried a sample of this. It works with makeup but it is a little thicker than I'd prefer.

    • Super light sunscreen that helps protect your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays which penetrate skin and cause discoloration and skin damage, I tried sunscreens from other companies but they were heavy and made my skin dry and sticky, but this was nice and didn't do that.

    • Previously, I used the SPF serum that has been discontinued. I was told that this product is the same contents, but I don't think that's true. This version felt awful on my skin (almost a burning sensation) and was very difficult to rub in. It left a white overlay on my skin. I won't use this again.

(Posted on 12/27/13) Review by Andrew
    • I used to use Kate's serum sunscreen so when that was discontinued I tried this one. At first I really didn't like it because of the white tint it leaves on your face. I tried using less (you really use just a tiny amount to avoid the white tint)--which is better but I feel it leaves my skin very dull looking. I took it with me on vacation and I wore it in sunny 80 degree weather and I feel it did not give good sun protection. Maybe I wasn't using enough, I don't know. But I switched over to the Illumikate CC cream and I feel that gives much better sun protection.

    • This is such a great daily sunscreen, I have very sensitive skin so most sunscreens make me break out but this one does not. It also is so light that even with putting it on in addition to my topical medication and the Kate Somerville oil free moisturizer it doesn't feel like i have a crazy amount of product on my face. LOVE IT!

    • After trying so many other sunscreen lotions, I finally found the perfect one with Kate's Daily Deflector Waterlight, Broad Spectrum 50+ PA+++ Anti-Aging Sunscreen. After I wash my face, moisturize, I add this sunscreen. I don't have to worry about any greasy feeling before I apply my foundation at all. The added bonus is the anti aging properties and the SPF of 50 included in this product. I feel my skin is well protected every day.

    • I was using the older SPF serum, and I was unhappy with the delivery system, so I was happy to see this one was different. It is lightweight so it doesn't feel like another layer that you have to put your make-up on over. It provides great protection from the sun, works great so that I don't burn or develop more freckles. It is a bit white, when I first put it on, and takes a short time to absorb so I can continue with my next steps. I would not wear this without another moisturizing cream or serum, because I have combination skin. If you have skin that is more oily, then this might be all the moisturizer you need. It's nice to know there is a product I can trust to protect my face, especially on outdoor days, and it's an added bonus that it's good for my skin too.

It is very light and it does not feel oily
      It absorbers quickly
It almost remindes me of clarins sun screen but this one feels better
      At least for my skin
I am going to purchase this product again and again

    • I write this having already been a fan of the serum spf 50 sunscreen of Kate's. I find that a bit thick but it does really cover, which is important. So I tried this thinking it would be thinner and easier to absorb. I find it also gives a bit of a mask-like effect. You can definitely detect residue of it. Then again, it is sunscreen, and since it has anti-aging properties perhaps it is an improvement over the other. Will continue to use both, but not sure I am reordering this one. Warning - a tiny bit goes a long way. Small bottle but it will last a while if you just use it for the face and neck.

    • Very lightweight sunscreen that sinks in quickly. This product is easy to apply, spreads well and sinks in leaving no white cast. I apply it over Cyto Cell Serum and Age Arrest, letting it sink in for a few minutes, and then apply my makeup. After giving it a few minutes there is no white cast and no balling up of products. I have not had a break out yet either.

    • So happy to have found an effective, lightweight mineral sunscreen. I have tried plenty of "natural" sunscreens and they tend to be greasy. This product absorbs quickly and leaves you with a glow.
Most importantly, the protection against sunburn (and hopefully melanoma) is effective. Take it from a blonde lady of a Scandinavian background. I'm almost as fair as they come!

    • This is by far one of my favorite Kate Somerville products. It is so light I can layer it over my quench and nourish and my skin feels so soft and protected from the sun.

    • I am so happy Kate came out with a chemical-free sunscreen! After my other skincare steps, I apply a thin layer of this as directed in sections of my face. It smells like banana flavored tropical candy, and dries to a silk satin texture. It makes a great foundation primer and prevents me from getting burned on long walks around my college town. It feels great on my sensitive skin, and I would buy it again in a heartbeat when my bottle runs out. My skin is so glowy and smooth when I use this, and I top it with a very thin layer of foundation to counteract the white tint it leaves behind.
