I have tried so many different kinds of face washes, but Detox Daily Cleanser is by far the best product I have used. I have even tried products after this, and none of them even come close! Doesn't leave my skin feeling oily, or dried after the next day, and helps with break outs better than any other product I have used.

One of the first Kate Somerville products I was recommended, and it did not disappoint.
I have used both the Detox Daily and the Gentle Daily Wash, but this one does the trick when I fall off the regimen and I know I need to get my skin back on track. I feel a difference and freshness with each use, and I know the results I have to look forward to with this and other products paired together.
I agree with the other reviews, though it may be costlier than drugstore products, the quality is unmatched, and such a small amount is needed that even the smaller cleanser has a very long life.

I would have to say that this is the only cleanser that actually clears up my blackheads and does not eventually break out my skin. It smells wonderful, but has no artificial fragrances. I have severly sensitive skin and I love this product. It always removes all of my stubborn makeup and dead skin. Thanks Detox Daily Cleanser!

I wasn't sure if I should order this cleanser because the price is much more than my "drugstore" cleanser. However, it is worth EVERY penny -- and then some!!! You only need to use a very small (dime-sized) amount so it lasts a very long time. I think my face was breaking out before from my old cleanser not removing all of the makeup. This cleanser doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and it removes all of my makeup. LOVE it!!!

Since I began using this cleanser problem areas around my chin have slowly disappeared. When I do get a random blemish, the eradikate blemish treatment helps to remove the blemish quickly. I have gone from worrying about being able to cover up multiple blemishes each day to a less than 10 minute routine each morning! Highly recommend this product!

After struggling with my skin for the last 10 years, I have been using Kate Somerville for 6 months and have less blemishes and impurities than ever. This cleanser is a lovely, mild first step to taking care of blemish prone skin. It is gentle and yet very effective at removing the whole day from your face. It cuts through oil for oily skin without leaving it dry. I don't even need a separate makeup remover because it takes everything off so gently! And the bottle lasts a long time.

The detox daily cleanser cleans really well and is not drying. It also feels good on the skin and smells nice. I wish it had a flip top instead of the twist dispenser because if it is turned upside down it will leak a little. I have not noticed a huge difference in my clogged pores though. I wish I knew something that would keep my pores cleaned out!!

I am 44 yrs old and suffered from hormonal breakouts! My face was a mess. Along with the breakouts, I suffered from scarring as well. I thought I tried every product available and was ready to try a dermatologist. I walked into sephora 3 years ago, I explained my issues (which was evident just by looking at my face) and made a LIST of all the products I had tried. The woman assured me that using your product would solve my problem and if not then go to a dermatologist. She gave me samples and the rest is history! About a week ago i started using this product. I must say it is slowly becoming one of my favorite skincare products! I use it in the morning and right before i go to bed. It does exactly what it says. It detoxes your face leaving you with beautiful blemish free skin. I cant use anything else on my face. Detox Daily Cleanser not only give you perfect skin, it smell Delicious. I would recommend this product to anyone who want amazing skin! :))

i tried for a long time to find a great face wash that actually helps my skin and one i can use day and night.I like this product beacuse it doesn't dry my face out but actually soothes and lessens any current acne redness.Great Product that i use daily and love.Will continue to use constantly and that is one thing i haven't been able to say for all of the other products i have tried,i finally have one i really like and can stick with!!!!!

I've been using this cleanser for about a year now and still think it is the most amazing facial wash I've ever tried. My face feels so soft after each use and it is very gentle as I sometimes suffer from sensitive skin. A little goes a long ways and one bottle will easily last me 4+ months. I would definiitely recommend this product!

I am 41 years old and still have acne prone skin. I have used several products and nothing has worked until now. I purchased the kit for acne and it is clearing up my skin. This cleanser is so great for oily skin. First of all, it smells amazing so you feel like you're getting a facial in a "spa-like" environment (when it's actually your shower or wherever..). It leaves my face so silky and non-drying! The only thing I would say is I always get more amount than I want because of the twist cap mechanism so I run out faster.

About two years ago my facialist recommended this product to me after I had a terrible hormonal breakout on the sides of my face. After trying every product on the market from drug store (Clean & Clear, Neutrogena) to dermatologist recommended (Cetaphil), plus designer face washes, this is the only one that's delivered results without drying out my skin. Added bonus: phenomenal packaging, no filmy residue, no smell, and you don't have to use much to FEEL CLEAN. I follow this up with the following regime:
Goat Cream Moisturizer + Oil Free Moisturizer (they go great together!)
Sunscreen serum (best sunscreen ever)
CytoCell Energizing Treatment (I put it in the fridge and use it AM/PM)
CytoCell Dark Circle (Also put it in the fridge which makes it feel like a mini spa treatment for my eyes every AM/PM)

I love this face wash. Incredibly gentle on my eyes (i use it to wash off eye-makeup) and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. I've used many face washes before in my search to stop break-outs and this is the only one i've used that has been consistent over the years.

Great for all skin types. I use with my Clairsonic, and it truly makes my face feel so clean and sparkly with out ever feeling sucked dry... But also gets it really clean feeling. It always feels soft and my pores feel like they can breathe. The "Daily" Cleanser is a little too gentle for me, even though my skin can be easily irritated. I love to Detox my face. This is Step One in your routine. I use it twice daily. Morning and night.

I have been using the detox cleanser for over a year and it has done wonders to take control over my acne and oily skin. I still get oily T-zone spots but the overall oil is much better and my acne has taken a huge dive in the last year. I combined this treatment with the clarifying toner and the antibacterial lotion and within two months I was noticing major results. The effect has been so large that I've completely stopped wearing makeup. Thank you Kate!

I have fairly acne prone skin and finding a cleanser that will help fight the breakouts while not drying out my skin has always been a challenge. This is a great cleanser, my skin doesn't feel too tight after using it, just fresh and clean. It has helped with my existing acne and the clarity is getting better (my acne and scars tend to be very stubborn so it will take more than just a cleanser to fix it all, but this is a great first step toward improving my skin!) I use it twice a day and have not found it too harsh or drying, something that is so common with facial cleansers that are meant to help with acne. I was using the oil free moisturizer (I received the acne fighting kit for Christmas) but found that I actually need a bit more moisture at night so I switched to the daily nourish moisturizer, I've only it used for one day but so far I like it! No more shopping around for cleansers, I've found the one I'm going to stick with.

This face wash is awesome! My skin is very oily, sensitive and acne prone and this stuff doesn't bother it at all! Very gentle and cleans very well! Has a very light citrusy/antiseptic smell, but it's not bad at all. Gets all my makeup off easily too!! Will definitely continue using this product!

I have only been using this product for about a week. I love the way it makes my skin feel after cleansing it. It does not feel dry, but it also does not feel greasy. The directions are correct to use only a small amount. It can be thick and heavy if you use too much. I have adult acne so it is difficult to find a product that does not dry out my skin or make it break out. Presently, this does neither. It may be a bit too soon to weigh in, but I like i very much after the first week!

I have been using this cleanser for years and it has never disappointed me. I have suffered with adult hormonal acne since I was 22 and this cleanser has transformed my skin. I recommend using lukewarm water and to take a dime size amount of cleanser. Then build a lather in your hands and gently massage the cleanser on your face for about a minute, focusing on the problem areas. Then gently rinse off. I do not use a washcloth or those machine things on my face because my skin is too sensitive. Just my hands with the cleanser is enough. I tend to have a more combination skin, so I don't use the cleanser near my eyes or on the tops of my cheeks because those areas are more dry and do not breakout. However, the cleanser is gentle and has a citrus fragrance that is energizing in the morning. Many people compliment my complexion on a daily basis. They would never know or guess that I struggle with acne. My skin has a bright and clear complexion and this cleanser is truly the foundation to my skin success.

I love this face wash! It cleared up the acne I had leftover from my teen years on my forehead very quickly. The texture of my skin was pretty bumpy (kind of like perpetual goose bumps, but on my forehead, which was weird and embarrassing), but now it's completely smooth. I use this once daily in the morning (I use the Kate Somerville Purify Clarifying Cleanser at night because it's a little milder) with an electronic face brush and my skin has never felt so smooth and clean. It also looks amazingly bright and fresh. A little goes a long way, too. I only need about a dime-sized drop, so this tube lasts a long time.
I just wish it came in a travel sized tube that wasn't part of a kit.sprezz also recommends...

I have slightly oily skin that gets dehydrated by the air conditioner. This cleanser cleans really well without drying out my skin. It does not clog pores. It is not harsh. I have tried a number of different brands of cleansers, and this is the best cleanser that I have used. The Gentle Daily Wash cleanser is also a good one, but I usually use this one .

I don't typically read product reviews because they are so subjective and for as many good reviews, there are often the same number of bad ones. However, I am very confident about the value of this product and want to share. I have used many, many different facial and dermatologist-recommended products and this is absolutely one of the best face washes I have ever used. I have been using it for about a year now, after I received a sample at Sephora last fall. I was travelling for work, out of town almost every week, and the combination of poor diet, lack of sleep, and time on airplanes left my skin constantly broken out. To be completely honest, I typically have good skin, with relatively few breakouts, so I was really discouraged when nothing I tried worked -until I found the Kate Somerville products, particularly the Daily Detox Cleanser. It feels purifying without being too drying. I like to occasionally switch up my products, and now that I am using Rx topical anti-aging and acne prevention creams from my dermatologists, I want to try something more gentle. But, I'm so impressed with the Kate Somerville brand, that I plan to try the gentle wash! Everyone is different, but if you have acne-prone skin, you should definitely try the Daily Detox Cleanser!

Over the years I have tried face wash after face wash and finally resorted to using plain Dove bar soap because face washes cost more than soap and they weren't doing anything for my acne or complexion. This is the first ever face wash I have ever used that has made a difference in my breaking out and over all complexion. My skin feels clean wihout the dried out feeling after washing and I don't experience buring from the active ingredients for acne like with other washes. I don't require extra scrubbing when I wear make up like with soap or other face washes. If you have an issue with acne, this is the only wash you want to use.

The cleanser is amazing! It smells so good and lathers nicely. At first I didn't think this cleanser made a huge impact on my face (which is very very sensitive and acne prone) but when I switched back to the purpose cleanser i noticed that i started breaking out again. I have been using this product for a couple of years now, and I love it. My skin can be sensitive at times, and other more expensive products out there have made my face breakout possibly from the extra oils in the cleansers. This cleanser however does what it says and cleans! After a wash my face feels refreshed, not too dry and not too oily. I would highly recommend this product.

My skin is very reactive. It's sensitive and oily and prone to blemishes. My skin responds very well to Salisylic acid so I thought this would be the product for me - but after using it my eye lids got very itchy and my face broke out. I tried it a few more times to see if it was just because my skin was adjusting but there's no way this cleanser is right for me. I think the tea-tree oil in it might be a bit too harsh for my skin. I'm going to send this one back and try the gentle cleanser instead.

I've been using this cleanser (and other Kate acne products) for over three months now and it's the best cleanser I have ever used. I'm so thankful to have found this line because my skin has been transformed!
The only thing I would change is the packaging on the cleanser. It's very difficult to use with one hand. I often drop too much of the cleanser onto my hand because I am trying to use two hands. Haha that's why I'm buying the luxury size with the pump. But I would love a smaller size so I don't have the travel with the luxury size!Anna also recommends...

Takes off all my makeup. I used to use a oil base precleanser, now I don't have to! Smell is a bit strong, but not unpleasant. I have combo/oily acne prone skin and I find this to be a tiny bit more drying than the gentle wash. But I like to be sqeaky clean before bed so I like that it gets all the crud off my face.

I wasn't sure which cleanser to try since all of them were suitable for my skin. I decided on the Detox mainly because of milia that I just can't get rid of, along with monthly sporadic hormonal and/or stress acne . I'm quite happy with my decision. Detox cleans great and you don't need much. I just drop about a dime size onto my finger tips and massage it in for about a minute. My entire face and neck are so clean and perfectly prepped for my serums and lotions as I alternate between products from Kate as I have a handful of issues I want to treat and/or prevent.

I have never been a fan of using make-up remover then washing, and of course have found make-up on my toning cloth every time. With this cleanser by Kate, I don't need to use a make-up remover to get clean skin! I promise you will never see a hint of make-up on your toning cloth!!

I don’t really have acneic skin but received a sample of Detox Daily Cleanser and then had to buy the full size! This is the perfect cleanser for any skin type, it’s not over drying but gets all of my makeup off without leaving any residue. My number one favorite, will always buy.

I know you can use this both day and night, but it does more wonders in the morning because of the cooling sensation it wakes you up. Great with the clarisonic cleansing device as well. This cleanser leaves your face nice and ready to apply your skin care products.

I usually use the gentle daily wash but when I get those pesky pimples I switch to detox and it works flawlessly. I love the citrusy smell and I love that it actually does its job without over-drying my skin. Most cleansers that are for acne-prone skin completely dehydrate, but this one miraculously has found a perfect combination of salicylic and aloe to clear up the skin and keep it's natural moisture barrier in check......A+

I am a 60+ lady with some large pores, but no acne. I love the clean skin that I get with this cleanser. It has a lot of Vit. C and leaves my skin feeling great - never tight or dry. I typically don't like scented products, but this cleaner smells like oranges and is very pleasant.
