Excellent Oil for combination skin
In the last 2 years I've started experimenting with many different oils in my skincare regimen. I have a history of oily skin, but as I get older (I'm now in my late 20's) I've seen a change in my skin to a more combination type, meaning still oily.. but also having dry patches and flakes. It's ARGUABLY worse than just having oily skin.

I find oil to be soothing with the flakes and moisturizing for controlling oil generation. This dilo oil is one of my top picks. It sinks in almost as soon as you pat it into your skin, faster than most other oils, and leaves a healthy glow afterwards. This is one of the few oils that I would recommend for daytime use because of how quickly it gets absorbed.

My only complaint is the packaging, although beautiful it's not very functional. The button on top makes it hard to release the few drops you need, and the way the cap is built on makes it difficult to travel with. I made the mistake of thinking there would be no leakage since it's a screw on cap, only to find my oil exploded when I unpacked my luggage :(.

TLDR; awesome oil, bad packaging. I would give it 3.5 stars but round up to 4 since I'm feeling generous :).

I was afraid that this 'oil' would make my face oily but it doesn't. It absorbs nicely into my skin. I love putting this on after I exfoliate because it adds to the softness of my skin and moisturizes too. Plus, is smells soooo good.

Dilo Oil was my introduction to Kate Somerville products and it's still my favorite! A Kate Somerville rep was at Nordstrom offering mini facials and she used this on my skin, which is sensitive, combination and prone to breakouts. I had been using various products to fight acne, but that were too drying, and my skin was not very happy. I had tried lots of different products, but nothing seemed to reduce the dryness without causing more breakouts. My skin felt relieved from the very first use of Dilo Oil. It seriously cured my dryness with just one application! I've been using it twice daily ever since. It does not cause breakouts, even though it is an oil. This is a wonderful product. My husband is also a convert. Dilo Oil is magic! Highly recommended.

My magical, wonderful, healing Dilo Oil!
My story... I have very fair, mid-50-something year old skin, that over the years has become more sensitive to what's around me... the environment, certain cosmetic and skincare products, probably some menopausal hormones thrown in there, too. Several times in the last couple of years I have suddenly developed an itchy, red rash on my neck after using certain sunscreen products (It wasn't Kate's!). Almost immediately after using the product with the questionable ingredient that I am assuming I am allergic to, I got this terrible rash front and center on my neck. Within a day it started to flake and peel similar to a sunburn, and NOTHING seemed to help it to be soothed and moisturized, and to aid in healing. I decided to try a few drops of Dilo OIl in the irritated area. Within a very short time the redness lessened, and by morning, some serious healing had taken place! Now, I know... medical claims cannot be made. But, for me... if I have a rash, a sunburn, windburned hands, etc., this is now my GO-TO for soothing, moisturizing and HEALING. I can't tell you how many times I have questioned purchasing a Kate product due to price, only to find that it was the most cost-effective product to use due to the results received. I am here on-line to purchase another bottle of my "magical, wonderful, healing" Dilo Oil. If I could, I would give this one FIFTY stars! Thank you so much, Kate!!

Love LOVE dilo oil !
The dilo oil has been an essential part of my nighy routine for weeks. After washing (and exfoliating 2x week) I apply this oil and then top it off with the gentle moisturizer. I have a feeling that come our cold and dry winter months, I will also be using this in the morning before moisturizing as well. I was apprehensive strictly because of the word 'oil' but I have had no breakouts, just soft glowing skin!!!
