I have suffered from acne / rosacea for YEARS and have never used an exfoliating product. I was always worried that it would cause my sensitive skin to break out more. Super Gentle Exfoliator

So gentle, in fact, that at first I was tempted to get something with a bit harder of a "scrub" in it. But that's not necessary! The salicylic acid in this treatment does a great job of exfoliating my skin, and the treatment diminishes redness & leaves it with a clean, smooth feeling. And being very nice to my slightly sensitive skin also keeps it from getting irritated and breaking out.

Good For Reducing Redness

I like to use product to reduce the redness on my face as a result of acne scars or pimples as they are in the "coming down" phase. I think it works well for this purpose, however I did not see any reduction in the amount of pimples on my face. I used this product as directed and while it lessened the appearance of pre-existing pimples, I do not feel it did anything to stop them from occuring in the first place.

This product is key to Kate's acne line. If you wanted to start off with just one product I would suggest this. ExfoliKate is so gentle you don't feel like it would work, but once you use it within a few minutes your face feels so smooth, and all impurtites exfoliated right away. Being able to get rid of all the dead skin cells that were normally trapped in my pores has cleared my acne 100%. I only have to use it once a week so the product does last. I have used everything to exfoliate including expensive brushes and this product seems to work better to clear my cystic acne than anything else.

I love the smell of the cleanser. I know it's not the point of it, but it's a lovely tea-tree-ish smelling smell. I love that it feels like it scrubs my makeup and debris off, but I could stand for it to exfoliate a bit more than it does.

Awesome Exfoliant! had a refreshing tea tree like smell! this made my skin baby soft and definitely helped my skin out :) Price is a little expensive but worth it!!!

Best Exfoliator on the Market!!!

I have sensitive, acne prone skin and when I break out, I get big, red irritated pimples. It is a rarity to find a product that shows results after the first use and this is one of them. After using this exfoliate, I noticed that not only were my blemishes smaller in size and less red, but my face was also incredibly soft. What I love about Kate's products is that she offers a little something for everyone, she understands the diversity of skin. If this exfoliate is too strong for ultra sensitive skin, then I would recommend trying her gentle exfoliate. Buy the big size, don't waste your money on the little size because you get significantly less and you will definitely want more of this stuff when you run out!

Gentle exfoliator for acne-prone skin

I found this exfoliator gentle enough that it does not hurt the pimples on my face. It is also effective enough to clear the blackheads and whiteheads. It makes my face really smooth. It has a refreshing tea tree oil smell, and I found it sometimes helps to reduce the inflammation of the red pimples. Highly recommended :)

I have been using this product for about a year, and would recommend using it while showering. This product has a stronger smell than other products in the exfolikate line, but it also does a much better job at clearing up active blemishes than the others. I have sensitive acne-prone skin and found that this product is not harsh and I have yet to see any adverse effects from continued usage of this treatment.

It does a great job of exfoliating without irritation. It has enough salicylic acid to get the job but it doesn't dry out my sensitive skin. I love how clear my face looks after using it and a little goes a long way.

I have overly large pores and they are always clogged and I suffer from adult acne that is just painful as can be. I used to use these pore strips and they would unclog my pores but remove the top layer of my healthy skin leaving behind an ugly ingury. Exfolicate Acne removes all the dead layers of skin leaving behind my healthy skin and cleaned pores while treating my acne. I used this for the first time with the Blemish Banisher kit and in 2 weeks I had clear beautiful skin. The best part was my face was not in pain while I was treating my acne like with other acne fighting products. If your looking for something that works when nothing else has, this is THE answer!

I am confused..i might be doing something wrong because this product which is being raved about by everyone just doesn't work for me...i have used it religiously 2 times a week as per the instructions and i just don't see any noticeable difference...ANY !!! I somehow feel that my 85$ went down the drain...i should have tried a sample first...or wish they had a money back guarantee on a product which is their best seller. The lady at the Sephora counter said it will last for 6 months...pssst...i am sure it will be over in 2 months...i want my money back...

I breakout at least once a week so I switch my reg. ExfoliKate for this. It's beads are less abrasive and do not aggravate active acne. The tea tree scent is one of my favorites. Slightly medicinal, yet fresh and clean. Quite stong if you are sensitive to smells, which I am but love this.I used to use straight tea tree oil on cystic pimples. (now I have EradiKate) The effect is not immediatly noticeable like with the original but by the next morning, breakouts are reduced, pores seem tighter, but without the redness I experience from the intensive. Can't wait to try the Gentle version. Then my exfoliating empire will be complete! Muah ha!

I am over 50 and still have blackheads. Also, I am now concerned with expression lines. Having oily skin means not having many wrinkles for my age, but it does mean that I have been trying to get rid of blackheads for nearly 40 years!!
I use regular Exfolikate and I like it. However, when my skin is really clogged and experiencing zits, the Exfolikate Acne formula is what I reach for. Somehow, it seems gentler than the regular Exfolikate, as the exfolicating materials are "softer" but the formula is the right mix to help get your pores REALLY clean and clear up any acne I may be experiencing.
This really a product that works for me and it only takes a small amount. The most I would use this is twice per week. One of my favorite products!sandogger also recommends...

I received this as a sample to try and have absolutely seen a huge difference in my skin/pores/acne in just over 1 week. I was using harsh OTC abrasive scrubs on a daily basis to "unclog" my pores and found out that I was doing my huge pores no favors by stretching them out. I can honestly say that I have been searching for the right skin care combo for adult acne/oily skin for several years, and I think I'm finally on the right track. I haven't tried any other Kate products yet, mainly because I was given samples of Perricone MD at the same time and the combo of the 2 lines seems to be working well for me right now. Definitely suggest investing as a small amount is all that is needed and 1 tube should last a very long time. Price is up there, but I'm saying definitely worth the boost in self confidence. Thanks.

I hardly get acne, but when I do and I need to exfoliate this is the product i choose. it takes care of all those breakouts and doesn't irritate the skin wake up the next morning and the acne is minor or completely gone. if you are acne prone I suggest this exfoliator to you it will work wonders on your skin!

I don't have acne but I do get the occasional breakout and I know that when you do get breakouts, a physical exfoliant isn't always the best to use on active acne. So when I do breakout and need to exfoliate, I skip the regular or the gentle and instead opt for this one, which just smells like it would do the job (if that makes any sense). It has a much more different feel than any of the other exfoliators in Kate's collection, and it feels like a medication that you would want to apply to your skin when it is acting up.
