Goat Milk Cream

Product Review (submitted on February 6, 2014):

Goat Milk Cream

I normally have combination skin which can get a bit dry during the cold Canadian winters. This has been a particularly cold winter, and to top it all I am taking oral Isotretinoin (Accutane) for a recent bout of cystic acne that came out of nowhere (not normal for me). My skin became extremely dry the first couple of weeks, when I was using a lighter moisturizer, so I switched to this one based on Caroline Hirons' recommendation that it was good even for acne prone skin. I am very happy with the results: it has not made the acne worse (which I was concerned about), and it has almost completely gotten rid of the dryness! Given how moisturizing it is, the texture is surprisingly light. And it is fragrance free, always good in my books. The cherry on top is the genius (and pretty) packaging. Even though it comes in a jar, it has a pump system such that the product is never exposed to the air and you don't have to stick your hands into it (the sticking your hands in bit always seems unhygienic to me, especially when products last months and months). The pump also allows you to dispense as much product as you want each time, unlike other pumps that give you a default amount which ends up in a lot of wasted product. All in all a great product. A word of caution: since this cream has quite a bit of oil (coconut, avocado, jojoba), using oil-free sunscreen on top will most likely make it pill. Layering always works best with like-based products ;)
