This policy explains how we process, ship, and handle returns for purchases made through katesomerville.com in the United States.

2. Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).

During promotional events or new product launches, processing times may be slightly longer.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if we suspect fraud or unauthorized activity.
3. Shipping Options & Rates
We currently ship within the United States and to U.S. territories where carriers deliver.
Note: We ship to all US states, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. Currently, we don’t ship to the Northern Mariana Islands or American Samoa.

Shipping costs and available options are displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
Free shipping offers (when available) apply to qualifying orders after promotions, discounts, and before taxes.
We offer free Ground Shipping on orders $35+ on every shipment to addresses within the United States (including Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. Territories). Orders with free standard shipping will be delivered in 3-8 business days. Ground Shipping for orders under $35 will have an $8 flat rate.
For guaranteed expedited shipping, we offer:

Expedited Shipping methods are not available for shipments to APO/FPO, US Territories or PO Boxes.
Shipping Fees are non-refundable.
Note: We do not currently ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations from the U.S. site.

The holiday season is here, and we want to make sure your gifts arrive on time! To help ensure delivery by December 25, 2025, please review the recommended shipping cutoffs listed below. While these dates are provided by each carrier, we strongly encourage placing orders as early as possible to avoid potential delays from weather or increased seasonal volume.

4. Order Tracking
You can track your order using the link in your shipping confirmation email.
If your tracking information shows “delivered” but you haven’t received the package, please contact your carrier first, then reach out to our Customer Care team for assistance.
5. Damaged or Missing Items
We take great care in packaging your products.
If your order arrives damaged or incomplete, contact customercare@katesomerville.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the item(s).
We’ll arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
6. Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love your Kate Somerville products. If you’re not fully satisfied, you may return eligible items within 30 days of purchase for a refund to your original payment method.
To Qualify for a Return

The product must have been purchased directly from katesomerville.com. If the products were purchased from a different retailer, please contact them directly to initiate the process.

The product must be at least half full and returned in its original packaging.

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
How to Start a Return
- Please initiate your return in our returns portal. If the products were purchased from a different retailer, please contact them directly to initiate the process.
Once received and inspected, refunds are typically processed within 7–10 business days.
We do not currently offer direct exchanges; instead, please return the item and place a new order.
7. Gift Returns
If you received a Kate Somerville product as a gift, we can issue a store credit for the product’s value once the item is returned.
Please include the purchaser’s name and order number (if available) when contacting us.
8. Subscription Orders
If you participate in our Auto-Replenishment or Subscription program, returns are handled under this same policy.
You may cancel or modify your subscription at any time by logging into your account or emailing customercare@katesomerville.com before your next renewal date.
9. Refund Processing Times
Refunds appear on your statement depending on your payment method and bank processing times.
If more than 10 business days have passed since confirmation of your refund, please contact your payment provider directly.
10. Lost or Delayed Packages
We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or incorrect addresses entered at checkout.
However, we will assist in filing a claim or replacement when possible.
Please ensure all shipping details are accurate before submitting your order.
11. Sustainability
We package your order with the intent of safely shipping to you, while using recyclable shipping boxes and helping reduce waste. In 2018, we stopped using plastic filling packing materials to reduce the use of plastic. In 2019, we also reduced the size of outbound shipping boxes to help optimise materials use.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Shipping & Returns Policy periodically. Changes will take effect when posted here, with a revised “Effective Date.” If updates are significant, we’ll provide additional notice (for example, via email or banner).
